Course Reflection:
By taking this course, I learned about different literary movements of Hispanic America. We read about the most of important authors and their literary works such as Federico García Lorca, Rubén Darío, Rosario Ferré, and Emilia Pardo Bazán, among others. We were exposed to genres of literary works from narratives, poetry, and drama. We discussed how politics, love, and social issues played a role in those authors’ works. Through lectures and discussions about the reading material, I was able to see how many of those literary pieces still hold importance and influence to this day. As part of the final assessment, we were instructed to analyze the presented themes in one of the literary works that we discussed in class. I chose to do this final assessment on La muñeca menor by Rosario Ferré. In the file below, is the final assessment that submited for this course.
